Lloyd Woodworking strongly supports international efforts to improve Forest Management. The company recognises a responsibility to the environment as well as the customers and suppliers.
All Timber and Timber Products are sourced from only legal suppliers.
When it comes to endangered species, Lloyd Woodworking will not source any timber species prohibited under Appendix 1 of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).
All suppliers are monitored and have to supply:
- information relevant to their environmental practises
- the source of their raw material in the manufacturing of the wood products.
At Lloyd Woodworking we regard the independant certification of forests and the process chain as the most useful tool in providing assurance and evidence that the timber is legal and from a well managed forest. This information must be backed up by independent inspections.
The company will avoid misleading and unsustainable claims in relation to wood products supplied.
Boycotts on specific timber species won't be encouraged although we would cease to purchase any timber products that breach our company policy.
